Information about D Block

D-Block is an American rap group founded in the 1990s by Sheek Louch, Jadakiss and Styles P as The Lox or The L.O.X.. ^[1] In 2001 the group renamed themselves from "The Lox" to "D-Block". As of September 2007 D-Block are now officially on Def Jam with 100% creative control over the next album.^[2]

Jadakiss	One of the original founders of D-Block, he has worked his way up from a battle rapper to a mainstream artist.He was discovered along with Sheek Louch and Styles P by Mary J. Blige and was brought to Sean Combs and was later signed to Bad Boy Records as The Lox. He has released two solo albums: Kiss tha Game Goodbye in 2001 and Kiss of Death in 2004.
Sheek Louch	Also one of the founding members of D-Block back in the time when it was still called The Lox, Sheek Louch is a Yonkers born rapper who has released two solo albums: Walk Witt Me in 2003 and After Taxes in 2005.
Styles P	Also one of the founding members of D-Block. He has released A Gangster and a Gentleman in 2002 and has his second album Time Is Money in December 2006, after a two-year delay of the original release.

J-Hood

Around the beginning of August rumors began to surface that J-Hood was no longer a part of D-block. In a statement, J-Hood later confirmed these rumors. [3] J-Hood was said to have been released from the label and was also rumored to have given back his chain, although the latter part was revealed to have been false. According to the release, there is also a video on youtube of the rapper holding the chain that he bought for himself, along with the release form. J-Hood has also released a track entitled 'I Told You' addressing the situation. J-Hood has also recently come on stage with the whole G-Unit

The d-block of the periodic table of the elements consists of those periodic table groups that contain elements in which, in the atomic ground state, the highest-energy electron is in a d-orbital. The d-block elements are often also known as transition metals.

Although Lutetium and Lawrencium are in the d-block, they are not considered transition metals but lanthanide and actinide according to IUPAC.^[4]
