Information about Chemical Change
Chemical Changes are the changes in a substance through chemical reactions. The chemical reactants form a new product with equal mass.
For example, placing a pot of water on a hot stove element causes a change in temperature and gas to be released (water vapor) but a chemical change did not take place. It was simply a physical change or a change of state. An example of a chemical change is a burning log.
A chemical change is when matter changes because the substance is changed into a different substance. An example of a chemical change is paper, ash, smoke caused by burning and/or combustion.
Compare: physical change
A chemical change can include but is not limited to change in color, gas release, formations of precipitate, and change in properties. In an experiment the chemical change is usually the more important change because physical changes don't matter and are dormant. An example of a physical change is when a new substance is formed as a bi-product.

chemical reaction is a process that results in the interconversion of chemical substances.[1] The substance or substances initially involved in a chemical reaction are called reactants.

A reactant or reagent is a substance consumed during a chemical reaction.[1] Solvents and catalysts, although they are involved in the reaction, are usually not referred to as reactants.

Mass is a fundamental concept in physics, roughly corresponding to the intuitive idea of "how much matter there is in an object". Mass is a central concept of classical mechanics and related subjects, and there are several definitions of mass within the framework of relativistic

Temperature is a physical property of a system that underlies the common notions of hot and cold; something that is hotter generally has the greater temperature. Temperature is one of the principal parameters of thermodynamics.

Gas is one of the four major states of matter, consisting of freely moving atoms or molecules without a definite shape. Compared to the solid and liquid states of matter a gas has lower density and a lower viscosity.

A physical change involves the change just in the physical body of the substance without changing its composition. Chemical change does the change within the composition of the substance, as the result of chemical change new substance is produced.
