"Woman in Love" is a popular 1980 song by Barbra Streisand from the album Guilty. After the success of the Bee Gees in 1977/1978 there was some time to perform songwriting for other artists and Barbra Streisand asked Barry Gibb to write an album for her. [2] This album ultimately became the most successful album. "Woman in Love" was written by Barry and Robin Gibb and became the most successful song of Streisand's music career and spent a total of three weeks at the #1 position on the Billboard chart.

Liz on the cover of her first solo single
On February 13 2006 Liz McClarnon, formerly from Atomic Kitten, released a cover of "Woman in Love" as her first solo single. The track was produced by Robin Gibb who co-authored the song. Before this, Dana International , and a Taiwanese group, S.H.E. had covered this song. [10] The single peaked at #5 in the UK Top 40.
