"The One Where They All Turn Thirty" is the fourteenth episode of the seventh season of Friends.

Plot

On Rachel's thirtieth birthday, the rest of the Friends begin to remember their thirtieth birthdays. The episode ends with Rachel breaking up with her boyfriend, Tag, because she realizes that she is already 30 and she needs to be with a much more mature person than Tag - she is afraid that she is wasting her time and that she will never find love again.

Joey's and Chandler's 30th

Joey's and Chandler's thirtieth birthdays were only seen in the opening teaser. Both resulted in Joey comically breaking down in tears to the fact of everyone growing older.

Monica's 30th

On Monica's thirtieth birthday, her fiancé, Chandler, planned a very classy, sophisticated, surprise party for her in their apartment. Not knowing of the party, Monica (who was worried about turning 30) got very drunk. The rest of the night was spent by the other friends trying to convince the guests, including Jack and Judy Geller, that Monica was sober. It seemed to work, until Phoebe called for a speech from Monica, who then announced to everyone that she was indeed drunk.

Ross's 30th

To impress women, Ross bought an MG MGB. Unfortunately, it was wedged in between two other vehicles. Throughout the rest of the day, everyone tried several ways of getting Ross's car free (including breaking into one of the cars and actually picking his car up). Once the car finally was free to go, an old man came riding by in exactly the same car as Ross's, thus making Ross want to get rid of the car as soon as possible.

Phoebe's 30th (or so it seems)

On Phoebe's thirtieth birthday, she accomplished everything she ever wanted to do that day (except straighten things out with her sister, Ursula). When she gets to Ursula's apartment, Ursula tells Phoebe that they are not thirty, but actually thirty-one. Of course, Phoebe is shocked, because she failed at all of the things she wanted to do before turning 31 (including receiving the perfect kiss, going to sniper school and meeting a Portuguese person.) The day ended with Joey giving Phoebe her perfect kiss, as well as telling her that he is one-sixteenth Portuguese.
