Information about The Arts Educational Schools

The Arts Educational Schools, known colloquially as ArtsEd, comprise the School of Acting and the School of Musical Theatre, both based in Chiswick, London. The establishment is one of the United Kingdom's leading drama schools. In addition there is a Pupils school which educates children from Academic Year 7 to Year 13.

The school was originally known as the Cone Ripman School. It started in the Piccadilly area of London, then moved to the Barbican area, before finally ending up in its present home in Chiswick. For many years there has also been a boarding section in Tring.

In recent years - since the arrival of the Head of Acting, Jane Harrison - the School has gone from strength to strength: ArtsEd is held in high regard by members of the performance industry and its allumni are achieving at the highest level of the professional world.
