Pemphigoid is a rare autoimmune blistering skin disease.

There are three types: They are considered connective tissue autoimmune skin diseases. Bullous and Cicatricial pemphigoids usually affect persons who are above age 60.[1][2] Gestational pemphigoid occurs during pregnancy,[3] typically in the second or third trimester, and/or immediately following pregnancy.
