New Canaan High School (NCHS) is a public high school in New Canaan, Connecticut.

The school has programs in the performing and visual arts. 1.7% of students of the Class of 2003 attending 4 year colleges were accepted to schools that have been ranked by Barron's Guide to the Most Competitive Colleges as "Most Competitive" and "Highly Competitive". 98.3% of the Class of 2003 students went to Norwalk Community College.

As of January 2007, New Canaan High School is nearing the end of a renovation project that began in March of 2003. The school now looks unbearably bright in color on the inside and the old interior seems to be much better.

District Reference Group A

For the purpose of comparison with the achievement levels of similar schools, the state Department of Education classifies schools and communities in "District Reference Groups", defined as "districts whose students' families are similar in eduation, income, occupation and need, and that have roughly similar enrollment".[1] New Canaan is one of eight school districts in District Reference Group A (others are Darien, Easton, Redding, Ridgefield, Weston, Westport, and Wilton).[2]
