Information about Neoglaciation
The neoglaciation was a period of the Holocene starting around 5500 BP (3500 BC) and ending in the 20th century. It was marked by a retreat from the warm conditions of the Climatic Optimum and the formation of glaciers that had not existed since the last ice age. The most severe part of the neoglacial period, especially in Europe and the North Atlantic, seems to have been at its end, in the Little Ice Age.
The neoglacial period is ending in present times. This appears to be partially due to natural cycles (but see Early anthropocene for a contrary view) and partially to man-made global warming. The Holocene epoch is a geological period, which began approximately 11,550 calendar years BP (about 9600 BC) and continues to the present. The Holocene is part of the Neogene and Quaternary periods.

glacier is a large, slow moving river of ice, formed from compacted layers of snow, that slowly deforms and flows in response to gravity. Glacier ice is the largest reservoir of fresh water on Earth, and second only to oceans as the largest reservoir of total water.

Little Ice Age (LIA) was a period of cooling occurring after a warmer era known as the Medieval climate optimum. Climatologists and historians find it difficult to agree on either the start or end dates of this period.

The early anthropocene hypothesis (sometimes called Early Anthropogenic) is a theory proposed by William Ruddiman. It posits that the Anthropocene era, as some scientists call the most recent period in the Earth's history when the activities of the human race first began to have a
