Information about Mexitl
In Aztec mythology, Mextli (also Mexitl or Tecciztecatl) was a god of war and storms and was born fully armed as a warrior. He accepted hundreds of sacrifices annually. His name is thought by many to be the source of the name "Mexico".
The Aztec civilization recognized a polytheistic mythology, which contained the many gods and supernatural creatures from their religious beliefs.
