Information about Ibm Omegamon
OMEGAMON, later IBM OMEGAMON, is a software bundle of various performance monitors for IBM S/390 computer environments. These products were produced by Candle Corporation, that was acquired by IBM. The various OMEGAMON products provide analysis of operating systems such as z/OS and z/VM and various sub-systems such as CICS, DB2 and IMS. Later OMEGAMON also became available for use in non-mainframe environments.
Notably, with version 6.1 of IBM Tivoli Monitoring released in 2005, IBM started to develop this software on base of OMEGAMON technology.
VM (often: VM/CMS) refers to a family of IBM virtual machine operating systems used on IBM System/370, System/390, zSeries, and System z9 IBM mainframes and compatible systems.
