Information about Fernand Braudel Center

The Fernand Braudel Center for the Study of Economies, Historical Systems, and Civilizations at Binghamton University, State University of New York was founded in September 1976 and serves as one of the preeminent centers for advanced study of systemic history (especially the world-systems dynamics) and historiography in the US. It is named after the famous French historian Fernand Braudel. One of its directors is notable economic theorist Immanuel Wallerstein.
