Champlain Regional College was founded in 1971 and named in honour of Samuel de Champlain, the first governor of New France. He was a man whose accomplishments reflect the strength of his intellect, the breadth of his imagination and the quality of his judgement.

The College offers post-secondary pre-university (CEGEP), technical and training programs to communities in three distinct regions of Quebec.

Located in Quebec, Canada, the College is a public English-language educational institution which is composed of administrative offices in Sherbrooke and three campuses: Champlain-Lennoxville in Lennoxville, Champlain-St. Lambert in Saint-Lambert on Montreal's South Shore, and Champlain-St. Lawrence in the Quebec City area.

Extracurricular Activities

Champlain College is home to many extracurricular activities. Events such as food festivals, barbecues, fashion shows, ski trips and variety shows are monthly happenings at Champlain College. Students are encouraged to participate in organizing these activities. Most of the after school activities that happen at Champlain College are actually organized by students. The CSA (Champlain Student's Association) gives student's an opportunity to get involved in school politics by giving them the chance to be involved in organizing activities and managing funds provided to them. At registration, 10 dollars of the registration fee is provided to the CSA to stimulate student activities on campus.
