Can I Live is the debut single from Nick Cannon's musical recording, titled Stages. It is sung from the point of view of a fetus in utero, which pleads for its life as its pregnant mother considers having an abortion. As the song ends, Cannon thanks his mother for giving birth to him.
In the music video, the pregnant woman is played by Tatyana Ali, her father portrayed by Glenn Plummer. Anthony Hamilton sings the soul stirring chorus.
Cannon has recently created a song "Can I Live?" is being associated as a pro-life message, even though he himself has denied that the song is a political statement.
