Information about Beach Cities

The Beach Cities (sometimes Bay Cities) of Southern California include Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach.

All three cities are renowned for their beaches. All three also have municipal piers extending into the ocean for the enjoyment of tourists and fishermen.

Sometimes other Los Angeles County cities and neighborhoods fronting the Pacific Ocean from Point Mugu south to the Palos Verdes Peninsula are included in the Beach Cities as well, in various combinations. These cities include Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, Venice, Marina del Rey, Playa del Rey, El Segundo, Torrance, Palos Verdes Estates, and Rancho Palos Verdes.
