Annie Wersching is an American actress who currently appears in the American soap opera General Hospital.

Biography

She was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri.[1] During her youth, she competed in Irish dance and belonged to the St. Louis Celtic Stepdancers.[1] She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre, which she received in 1999 from Millikin University.[1] Annie began her acting career with a guest appearance on the show , and moved on to guest starring roles on such shows as Charmed, Killer Instinct and Supernatural, and on February 15, 2007, began filming the recurring role of Amelia Joffe on the ABC Daytime soap opera General Hospital, with her first airdate being March 8.[1] She has also worked in theaters such as: Victory Gardens, Marriott Lincolnshire, Utah Shakespearean Festival. [1] She moved to Los Angeles, California in 2001.

In 2007, she was rumored to be dating General Hospital co-star Josh Duhon (Logan Hayes).[2] This rumor has been proven to have been false, even being confirmed not true by Duhon in an September issue of Soap Opera Digest.

Also in 2007, Annie referred to herself as being thirty years old. On September 4, 2007, it was announced that Annie would be playing Renee Walker, one of the two female leads in Season 7 of 24, a female FBI agent in an "adversarial relationship with Jack Bauer".[1].

Annie will exit General Hospital in October 2007.
