Shooting
After a group of 5 people were denied entrance to a KCA after party, at least one person opened fire with an automatic weapon. Three teens were injured. The police suspect gang involvement, but no arrests have been made.[1]Trivia
- Special of the KCA hosted by Lil JJ. Had been hosted at Universal Studios Hollywood. Possibly because of the break up at Nickelodeon Studios. Universal Orlando.
- On the site it says there are 11 books in A Series of Unfortunate Events, but there are actually 13.
- When Dakota Fanning gave her speech, at the end of the speech, the music played before she finished, in a much similar way to the Academy Awards.
- When Justin was announcing the slime vote options, he said A, B, then D. He then corrected his error the second time.
- Gwen Stefani performed the same dance moves as she did when she was featured earlier the week on American Idol
- The "detonator", was actually just a Staples "Easy Button" with the word easy covered up on a shiny metallic box.
- When the smoke and slime were in effect, the cameras shook to imitate the effect of shaking, however when it switched cameras, the second camera was not shaking, and when it returned to the view of the first camera, the first camera was shaking again.
- The KCA 07 were said to be "Twenty Minutes Longer." However, they were only ten minutes longer. Because of this, the SpongeBob Squarepants episode "Waiting" was shown to fill in the time slot.
- Almost all female awards were shown during commercials, while nearly all male awards were shown during the program.
- The TurboNick webcams on the orange carpet and inside the pavilion were delayed approximately 3 hours.
- The title belt that Justin Timberlake used while he was the Burping Champion was actually a replica of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship with stickers covering the plates.
- Justin Timberlake won the Favorite Male Singer award while also being the show's host.
- When Kenan Thompson was talking to Justin Timberlake about the audience facing him the burp competition, he said 20,000 kids vs Justin Timberland Instead of Timberlake, but later corrected himself.
- The term "2007" in the title of the event was pronounced as "twenty oh-seven", rather than the standard "two thousand seven", possibly suggesting a new convention.
- At the end of KCA, Vince Vaughin told Timberlake: "if you say the magic words... the slime will be activated. What are the magic words?", and Justin said "I don't know!". Then green slime poured down on them. This is a reference to "You can't do that on television". However, this is removed on Nickelodeon Australia.
