We all know that our minds thing, act and re-act based on our perceptions, input, stimuli and memory. All that we believe makes up the Individual or “I”, is merely an accumulation of our experiences, observations, knowledge and genetic encoding or innate characteristic displacement.
Every species has different sensors and inputs and perceives their world differently. Since those sensors + intuition is all you have, that is all you have to go on. And it seems to be enough doesn't it? So when someone in our Online Think Tank posed the age-old philosophical question;
If Every Thing You Know is Perception Based; How do you know that you know anything at all?
It seemed potentially worth to quote Stephen Hawking who suggests that you interpret what you can know and then consider what you can extrapolate and admit what you do not know or cannot know and move on, when he discusses the Big Bang and others ask;
What went Bang? He said we do not know and currently we cannot know, so we need to concentrate on things we can know and go figure them out. Personally, my mind is too strong to be trapped in a box of linear thought dwelling on things over and over again, where there is no answer. So, I hope this will help you propel thought in 2007 and alleviate you from other thoughts that you cannot know the answer too. Our goal is to get you to think, expand and open your mind.
