A disaster could strike your life at any moment; make it a snow storm followed by icy weather, mud slide, ferocious tornado or deadly earthquake. All your personal belongings and beloved memories could be destroyed in seconds. At that moment it would be very easy to go to the deep end and go into a self-pity mode. It might prevent you from taking action, losing critical moments to survive. But you must know that by doing nothing, nothing happens. A focused individual that is prepared and informed could survive the worst situations. Knowledge and practice create self-confidence which will help win over any crisis.
Read every bit of information you can and prepare your emergency kit and first aid kit before any disaster happens. Take video tape of your belongings, have all your important financial and personal information in a secure place. You know where you live and you also know what type of disaster will likely strike your area. Prepare for it.
Some people prefer not to think that it will happen to them but denial will not help them. Really take the time and the necessary actions to save and minimize stresses and losses from natural disaster.
